Listen to Minnesota NORML Chair Tom Gallagher discuss legalization in an Interview by KB 101 Bemidji, ChatAbout show, Dec 11, 2017. Would Minnesota be a better place if we removed marijuana from the uncontrolled, illegal market; and moved it into a controlled, legal market? How would it work? The goal is to end the illegal underground economy by repealing every and all laws making possession of cannabis a crime in Minnesota.

Thanks to KB 101 Bemidji for the opportunity to discuss some of these important issues.
A majority of voters in Minnesota now support legalization. If legislators cannot or will not do the right thing, we can let the voters decide – with an Amendment to the Minnesota Constitution. The People have the power.
And check out our articles about proposed legislation.
Marijuana is safer. It’s safer than alcohol, aspirin, caffeine – the list goes on. So cannabis and THC do not belong in Minnesota’s or the federal “Controlled Substances Act Schedules” or lists. Beer, wine and spirits are not in Minnesota’s or the federal Controlled Substances Act Schedules, anywhere. Yey alcohol is a physically addictive drug while marijuana’s THC is not. Therefore the inclusion of marijuana’s THC in a Controlled Substances Act Schedule has no rational basis in fact or science; but is based upon purely political considerations. This matters because the consequences of laws criminalizing or over-regulating marijuana cost lives and treasure of American citizens. We can and we must change these laws.
And that is the mission of Minnesota NORML, the Minnesota Chapter of NORML. We appreciate our supporters, and we want to support advocates for change. For more information, please explore our website. And take action. After all, you are the leader we need.
